The payment referred to in section 76 must be paid for every day of the benefit period, including holidays, but not any day during the benefit period on which the female employee takes no‑pay leave.

Nothing in this section requires an employer to pay to a female employee an extra day’s salary for a holiday which falls within the benefit period.
