98. Commissioner may call for further returns
Feedback & supportThe Commissioner may give written notice to any employer, when and as often as the Commissioner thinks necessary, requiring the employer to furnish within a reasonable time stated in the notice fuller or further returns respecting any matter as to which a return is required under this Act or the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act 1990.
employer
“employer” means any person who employs another person under a contract of service and includes —(a)the Government in respect of such categories, classes or descriptions of officers or employees of the Government as are declared by the President to be employees for the purposes of this Act;(b)any statutory authority;(c)the duly authorised agent or manager of the employer; and(d)the person who owns or is carrying on or for the time being responsible for the management of the profession, business, trade or work in which the employee is engaged;
The requisition may specify —
the form in which and the time within which the particulars and information are to be furnished;
the particulars and information to be furnished; and
the place or manner at or in which the particulars and information are to be delivered.
