Clause 18
In the Biological Agents and Toxins Act 2005 (called in this Part the BAT Act), in section 2 —
(a)
after the definition of “approval”, insert —“ “Authority” means the Health Sciences Authority established under section 3 of the Health Sciences Authority Act 2001;”; and
(b)
after the definition of “certified facility”, insert —“ “Chief Executive” means the Chief Executive of the Authority appointed under section 15 of the Health Sciences Authority Act 2001, and includes any individual acting in that capacity;”.
