2. Definition

In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires —“authorised person” means a person appointed under rule 3A(1) to conduct a preliminary investigation into a complaint made against an employee;“committee of inquiry” means the committee of inquiry appointed under rule 4(4);“emoluments” include any increment, allowance or other benefit which an employee is or may become entitled to during the period disciplinary proceedings are instituted against him under these Rules;“employee” means any employee of the Polytechnic whether the employee is holding a permanent, temporary or contractual appointment;“Staff Disciplinary Committee” means the Staff Disciplinary Committee appointed under rule 3(1).
