Regulation 10

Issue of Singapore certificates of identity

Subregulation 1

Before issuing a Singapore certificate of identity to any person, the Controller must be satisfied of the identity of the person.

Subregulation 2

Every Singapore certificate of identity must be issued by the Controller for and on behalf of the Government.

Subregulation 3

The Controller may, before issuing a Singapore certificate of identity, require the applicant to furnish to the Controller a monetary deposit or such other security (by bond or otherwise) as the Controller may think sufficient to secure the performance or due observance by the applicant.
