Regulation 17

If an authorised officer is satisfied that the holder of any Singapore passport or Singapore travel document has contravened or failed to comply with any condition subject to which the Singapore passport or Singapore travel document was issued, the authorised officer may direct the forfeiture of any security (or any part thereof) furnished under the Act or these Regulations to secure the performance or due observance by the holder of any such condition.

Notice of the forfeiture of any security or part thereof must be served on the holder of the Singapore passport or Singapore travel document concerned.
