Amount payable in respect of total disability of special police officer

Where a special police officer is eligible under regulation 45 for an award or a gratuity in respect of total disability, the Approving Authority may pay the special police officer —
(a)
an award of a sum to be determined by the Approving Authority; and
(b)
a gratuity that is at least 12 months’ monthly gross salary of a police officer of equivalent rank.
