17. Directions by Minister

The Minister may, after consultation with the Bank, give such general directions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, as to the policy to be followed by the Bank in the exercise and performance of its powers, functions and duties under this Act as appear to the Minister to be necessary and the Bank shall, as soon as possible, give effect to such directions.

“Bank” means the Post Office Savings Bank of Singapore established under section 3;

The Bank shall furnish the Minister with information with respect to its properties and activities in such manner and at such times as he may require. [16
