Airborne Collision Avoidance System (ACAS II)
Subregulation 1
A CGAC holder must ensure that an airborne collision avoidance system (ACAS II) is installed in every turbine‑powered aeroplane that it operates for complex general aviation operations that also corresponds to one of the following descriptions:
an aeroplane for which the Certificate of Airworthiness was first issued after 24 November 2005 with —
an MCTOM exceeding 15,000 kg; or
an MAPSC exceeding 30;
an aeroplane for which the Certificate of Airworthiness was first issued after 1 January 2008 with —
an MCTOM exceeding 5,700 kg but not exceeding 15,000 kg; or
an MAPSC exceeding 19.
Subregulation 2
The ACAS II provided in accordance with paragraph (1) must operate in accordance with the relevant provisions of Volume IV of Annex 10 to the Chicago Convention.
