Regulation 26

Operations over congested areas

Subregulation 1

An AWC holder must not operate a relevant aircraft over a congested area of any city, town or settlement except in accordance with the circumstances prescribed in the Rules of the Air.

Subregulation 2

If a relevant aircraft is being flown over a congested area of a city, town or settlement in accordance with any of the circumstances specified in the Rules of the Air, the AWC holder must ensure that the aircraft is not flown below the minimum altitude prescribed in the Rules of the Air for flight in those circumstances unless —

(a)

the manoeuvre is necessary for the proper accomplishment of the operation;

(b)

the flight is performed in accordance with conditions and limitations approved by the Director‑General of Civil Aviation; and

(c)

the operation is conducted in accordance with the requirements of regulation 27.
