Flight crew training
Subregulation 1
In accordance with regulation 47(1), an AWC holder must have a training programme for every person that may be assigned duty on a relevant aircraft as a flight crew member.
Subregulation 2
The training programme established and maintained for the purposes of paragraph (1) must consist of ground and flight training on every type of aircraft that the person may be assigned duty as a flight crew member.
Subregulation 3
The training programme mentioned in paragraph (1) must include training in —
the procedures for all types of normal, abnormal and emergency situations;
the use of the AWC holder’s standard operating procedures; and
the required competency for all equipment installed on a relevant aircraft, whether installed on a permanent or temporary basis or for the purpose of carrying out a specific task.
Subregulation 4
An AWC holder must not assign a person to duty on a relevant aircraft as a flight crew member unless the person has satisfactorily completed the training programme mentioned in paragraph (1).
Subregulation 5
To avoid doubt, the pilot training mentioned in these Regulations does not include any training that leads to an endorsement of new ratings for the pilot.
