Regulation 8
Consideration by Council for restoration
Subregulation 1
On receipt of an application mentioned in regulation 7, the Registrar must refer the application to the Council for consideration.
Subregulation 2
Except with the permission of the Council, the applicant must not appear before the Council on the consideration of the application.
Subregulation 3
The Council must consider the application in private and may, if it thinks fit, adjourn the consideration to a future date.
Subregulation 4
If the Council —
directs the restoration of the applicant’s name to the register under section 27(1)(a) of the Act; or
registers the applicant as an allied health professional with restricted, conditional or temporary registration under section 27(1)(b) of the Act,the Registrar must send notice thereof to the authorities or persons (if any) to whom he or she has previously given notice of removal.
