Correction of Register of Oral Health Therapists
of Dental Registration Act 1999
(1)
The Registrar must —
insert in the Register of Oral Health Therapists any alteration which may come to the Registrar’s knowledge in the name or address of any registered oral health therapist;
correct any error in any entry in the Register of Oral Health Therapists;
remove from the Register of Oral Health Therapists the name of any person —
whose name is ordered to be removed under any provision of this Act; or
who is deceased;
insert in the Register of Oral Health Therapists any alteration in the qualifications or additional qualifications of a registered oral health therapist; and
remove from the Register of Oral Health Therapists the name of any person who has requested and shown sufficient reason for that person’s name to be removed from that Register, unless a complaint has been made, or an inquiry has, or investigations or proceedings have, commenced under Part 5 against that person.
(2)
The Registrar may remove from the Register of Oral Health Therapists the name of any person who has not renewed his or her practising certificate for a continuous period of at least 5 years.[21G
