29. Prohibition of practice of dentistry
Feedback & supportSubject to sections 73 and 74, a person must not practise dentistry in Singapore unless the person is a registered dentist and has in force a practising certificate.

“registered dentist” means a person who is registered as a dentist under this Act and includes a person deemed to be a registered dentist under section 80(1), and “registered as a dentist” and “registration as a dentist” have corresponding meanings;
Subsection (1) does not apply to any registered oral health therapist who has in force a practising certificate and who practises dentistry in Singapore in accordance with the scope of practice prescribed under section 79.

“registered oral health therapist” means a person registered as an oral health therapist under section 21;
Any person who acts in contravention of subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence.[22
