Regulation 8

Appointment of principal

Subregulation 1

A person must not assume duty as principal in any school until the supervisor of the school has sought and obtained the approval of the Director-General in writing for the appointment of that person as principal.

Subregulation 2

The Director-General may in his or her discretion refuse to approve the appointment as the principal of a school of any person whom the Director-General considers unsuitable.

Subregulation 3

The Director-General may by notice in writing to the supervisor require the committee of management of any school to replace the principal if the Director-General considers that the principal is not satisfactorily carrying out the duties of his or her office.
