Tribunal’s legal counsel must not intervene
An advocate and solicitor appointed under section 59B(1)(b) of the Act by a Disciplinary Tribunal must not —
participate in or influence the making of any decision by the Disciplinary Tribunal other than to advise the Disciplinary Tribunal on a question of law that is referred to the advocate and solicitor by the Disciplinary Tribunal; or
intervene to advise the Disciplinary Tribunal on an issue of law except where it appears to the advocate and solicitor that, without the intervention, there is a possibility of a mistake of law being made or where the advocate and solicitor is aware of a procedural irregularity.
