Regulation 5
Examinations for pharmacists
Subregulation 1
An examination referred to in sections 17(2) and (3)(c), 19(2) and 26(4) of the Act (referred to in this regulation as the relevant provisions) shall be one on the following subjects:
the basic principles of law, as applied to pharmacy in Singapore;
the practice of pharmacy.
Subregulation 2
For the purpose of conducting any examination referred to in paragraph (1), the Council may —
appoint a Committee of Examiners; or
make such arrangements with the Department of Pharmacy of the National University of Singapore as may be necessary.
Subregulation 3
The date and place of any examination referred to in the relevant provisions of the Act and the manner in which the examinations are to be conducted shall be as set out at the Council’s Internet website at http://www.spc.gov.sg.
Subregulation 4
An applicant who is required by the Council to undergo any examination under the relevant provisions of the Act shall be entitled to only 3 attempts at each such examination.
