Oath or affirmation upon enrolment into Special Constabulary

Subregulation 1
For the purpose of section 70(1) of the Act, the oath is set out in the First Schedule.
Subregulation 2

For the purpose of section 70(1) of the Act, a person who —
(a)
is a Hindu or Muslim or of some other religion according to which oaths are not of binding force; or
(b)
has a conscientious objection to taking an oath,may, instead of taking the oath mentioned in paragraph (1), make an affirmation in the form of that oath, substituting the words “solemnly, sincerely and truly declare and affirm” for the word “swear” and omitting the words “So help me God”.
