Removal of disabled aircraft
Subregulation 1
A certified operator of an aerodrome must establish a plan for the removal of any aircraft that is disabled and is located on or adjacent to the movement area in the aerodrome.
Subregulation 2
A certified operator of an aerodrome must designate a coordinator to implement the plan mentioned in paragraph (1).
Subregulation 3
The plan mentioned in paragraph (1) must take into account the characteristics of any aircraft that may normally be expected to operate at the aerodrome concerned, including —
a list of equipment and personnel at or around the vicinity of the aerodrome that is available for implementing the plan; and
arrangements for the rapid receipt of aircraft recovery equipment kits available from other sources.
Subregulation 4
A certified operator of an aerodrome must ensure that the certified operator is able to execute the plan mentioned in paragraph (1).
Subregulation 5
For the purposes of this regulation, an aircraft is disabled if the aircraft is unable to move under its own power and is unable to be towed by the normal use of a tow tractor.
