Power source
Subregulation 1
Every low pressure air compressor in a worksite shall be provided with at least 2 independent and separate sources of power supply which shall be capable of supplying power to operate the air compressor and its ancillary systems automatically when one source of power supply fails.
Subregulation 2
Alternate use from one independent source of power supply to the other shall be made once fortnightly to ensure that the equipment may be operated from either source of supply.
Subregulation 3
No transformer shall be used in a compressed air environment in a worksite unless the transformer is of the dry type.
