11. Temporary appointment

In the event of the temporary absence or incapacity of any member of the Majlis, the President of Singapore may appoint a person to act temporarily on his or her behalf.

“Majlis” means the Majlis Ugama Islam, Singapura, constituted and continued under section 3;

Such temporary appointment determines when the substantive member gives notice to the President of the Majlis of the resumption of his or her duties as a member of the Majlis.
