Regulation 44B

Painting of external surface of buildings

Subregulation 1

This regulation applies in relation to any external surface of a building that is painted.

Subregulation 2

Every owner of a building must ensure that the external surface of the building is painted so as to prevent structural damage to the wall, at intervals of not more than 7 years or such longer interval as the Commissioner of Building Control, in any particular case, may allow in writing.

Any person who contravenes paragraph (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000.
