Post mortem examination of body
(1)
In every case where it is expedient that the dead body of any person should be examined by a medical officer, a Coroner shall forthwith issue his order to a medical officer to make or cause to be made a post mortem examination of the body of the deceased person.
(2)
A medical officer, if it is necessary in order to ascertain the cause of death or if instructed to do so by the Coroner, shall extend the examination to the dissection of the body and an analysis of any portion of it and may cause any portion of it to be transmitted to the Director of Scientific Services.
(3)
For the purpose of such post mortem examination, the Coroner may order the removal of the body to any place within his jurisdiction which may be provided for that purpose.[281
