Camping and barbecues
of Parks and Trees Regulations
Subregulation 1
No person shall camp in any national park, nature reserve or public park or any part thereof except —
with a permit from the Commissioner and in accordance with the terms and conditions of that permit; and
within the area of the national park, nature reserve or public park that is set aside for camping.
Subregulation 2
No person shall light, maintain or use a fire or hold a barbecue in any national park or public park or any part thereof except —
with a permit from the Commissioner and in accordance with the terms and conditions of that permit; and
within the area of the national park or public park that is set aside as a fireplace or for barbecues.
Subregulation 3
No person shall leave unattended any fire that the person has lit, maintained or used.
Subregulation 4
Notwithstanding paragraphs (1) and (2), the Commissioner may, in any particular case or class of cases, determine that no permit shall be required for the purpose of carrying out any of the activities referred to in paragraph (1) or (2).
