Reporting of accidents
Subregulation 1
A UA pilot who operates an unmanned aircraft for any purpose must notify the Authority by the quickest available means upon becoming aware of an accident associated with the operation of the unmanned aircraft resulting in serious injury to the UA pilot, serious injury to or the death of any other person, or damage to any property.
Subregulation 2
A person who contravenes paragraph (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction —
(a)
for a first offence, to a fine not exceeding $50,000; and
(b)
for a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding $100,000.
