Regulation 41
Drowning hazards
Where any person carries out work in a shipyard or on board a ship in a harbour which may expose him to the risk of falling into water in which he may drown, it shall be the duty of the responsible person to ensure that the person is provided, at all times during the exposure to the risk, with adequate equipment —
(a)
for keeping persons afloat; (b)for promptly rescuing persons from the water; and (c)for resuscitating rescued persons.
