Regulation 81

Flights over water — aeroplanes

Before a CGAC holder operates a seaplane or an amphibian aeroplane over water during a complex general aviation operation, the CGAC holder must equip the aeroplane with —

(a)

equipment for making sound signals, as specified in rule 33 of the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Collisions at Sea) Regulations (Cap. 179, Rg 10);

(b)

equipment necessary for mooring, anchoring or manoeuvring the aircraft on water, appropriate to the size, mass and handling characteristics of the specific seaplane or amphibian aeroplane; and

(c)

one sea anchor.
