Regulation 30
Extension and abridgement of time
Subregulation 1
A Protection from Harassment Court or the Registrar may, on such terms as the Court or Registrar thinks just, by order extend or abridge the period within which a person is required or authorised by these Rules, or by any decision, direction or order of a Protection from Harassment Court or the Registrar, to do any act in simplified proceedings before a Protection from Harassment Court.
Subregulation 2
The period mentioned in paragraph (1) may be extended although the application for extension is not made until after the expiration of that period.
Subregulation 3
This rule does not apply to any periods relating to —
an appeal from the Registrar to a Protection from Harassment Court;
an application to a Protection from Harassment Court for permission to appeal to the General Division of the High Court; and
an appeal from a Protection from Harassment Court to the General Division of the High Court after permission is granted by a Protection from Harassment Court.
