Regulation 11A
Particulars to be shown on lightning protection system plans
Subregulation 1
The lightning protection system plans mentioned in regulations 4(1)(a)(vii) and 4A(1)(a)(vi) must specify the class of lightning protection system and where applicable, consist of or contain the following:
a site plan containing or showing —
the location and layout of the site with boundary lines clearly verged;
the outline of the building to be erected or building in which building works are to be carried out marked in colour or otherwise; (iii)the north point, or the georeference, and the number of the lot and adjoining lots and the Mukim (MK) or Town Subdivision (TS) number of the lot;
the distance between the new building to be erected or the building works to be carried out and the lot boundary;
any retaining wall on the lot;
any existing and proposed platform level and slope; and
the ingress and egress to the site;
the roof plan of the building containing or showing —
the air-termination system; and
the location of the down conductors;
one or more elevation plans containing or showing —
the zones of lightning protection provided by the air-termination network for the open roof spaces and the sides of the building; and
the location of the down conductors;
the floor plan of each storey where the earth electrodes are located;
one or more plans containing or showing —
the details and the location of the points where there is equipotential bonding between the air-termination system, down-conductor system and earth-termination system; and
the details and the location of the points where there is equipotential bonding of the lightning protection system to electrically conductive parts of the building (except mechanical and electrical services);
such other details or plans as the Commissioner of Building Control may require.
Subregulation 2
Without affecting regulations 6 and 7, all lightning protection system plans must —
be in accordance with the provisions of the Act and these Regulations and any other requirement of the Commissioner of Building Control;
be signed, or be accompanied by an endorsement signed, by the qualified person who prepared the lightning protection system plans; and
bear a certificate from the qualified person who prepared the lightning protection system plans stating that the plans have been prepared in accordance with the Act and these Regulations, or be accompanied by such certificate.
