9. Application for instructor’s certificate

An application for an instructor’s certificate shall be made to the Controller in such form as the Controller may require.

Every person who applies —

for an instructor’s certificate; or

for a certified copy of an instructor’s certificate under regulation 11,shall furnish to the Controller 3 photographs of the size and form used for passports of himself.

Where an application for an instructor’s certificate is approved, the Controller shall issue to the applicant an instructor’s certificate in the form set out in the Schedule.

The instructor’s certificate issued under this regulation is valid for 2 years and may be renewed for 2 years each time.

The fee payable for the initial issue of the instructor’s certificate shall be $140 and for every renewal shall be $40.

The photograph of the instructor to whom an instructor’s certificate or a certified copy thereof is issued under this regulation or regulation 11, respectively, shall be affixed to the instructor’s certificate or certified copy, as the case may be.
