Advanced Practice Nurse Training Committee
of Nurses and Midwives Regulations 2012
Subregulation 1
The Board may appoint a committee to be known as the Advanced Practice Nurse Training Committee.
Subregulation 2
The Advanced Practice Nurse Training Committee shall consist of such number of persons as the Board may determine.
Subregulation 3
The Board shall appoint a member of the Advanced Practice Nurse Training Committee as the chairman of the Committee.
Subregulation 4
The term of office of the members and the quorum of the Advanced Practice Nurse Training Committee shall be determined by the Board.
Subregulation 5
The Advanced Practice Nurse Training Committee shall —
assist the Board to review and approve Advanced Practice Nurse training curricula and programmes; (b)make recommendations to the Board regarding the accreditation of courses in Singapore for the purposes of certification;
make recommendations to the Board regarding the accreditation of departments and institutions in Singapore as training centres for the purposes of certification;
formulate and set standards for the training of persons seeking to qualify for certification;
determine the continuing professional development programme for Advanced Practice Nurses; and
advise the Board on the equivalent educational qualifications and work experience obtained outside Singapore which would qualify an applicant to be certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
