Amendment of section 113
of Civil Defence Shelter and Fire Safety (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill
In the FS Act, in section 113(1) —
replace paragraph (r) with —“(r)the regulation of the storage of any class of petroleum or any flammable material, including —
the quantities of any class of petroleum or any flammable material that may be stored in or on any licensed premises; (ii)the maximum quantity of any class of petroleum or any flammable material that may be stored without a licence in or on any premises, other than any applicable premises; and
the manner and method in which such class of petroleum or flammable material is to be stored in or on any premises, other than any applicable premises;”;
replace paragraph (u) with —“(u)the regulation of the transport of any class of petroleum or any flammable material, including —
the time during which such class of petroleum or flammable material may be transported;
requirements relating to the route or routes by which such class of petroleum or flammable material may be transported; and
the maximum quantity of any class of petroleum or any flammable material that may be transported without a licence or permit;”;
in paragraphs (x) and (y), after “licensed premises”, insert “or applicable premises”; and
replace paragraph (za) with —“(za)the regulation of the import, storage, transport, distribution, maintenance and disposal of containers used to contain any class of petroleum or any flammable material, including —
requirements to store different brands or types of containers at different licensed premises or applicable premises; and
requirements for labelling and colour coding of containers;”.
