Legal proceedings
Subregulation 1
If legal proceedings, civil or criminal, of any kind are taken against a police officer, he shall immediately report the circumstances to his commanding officer.
Subregulation 2
The police officer concerned shall not enter into any negotiations with the complainant with a view to compounding an offence without prior sanction of the Commissioner or his commanding officer.
Subregulation 3
A police officer who is served with a summons other than a summons as a witness in a police case arising from the discharge of his official duties shall at once report that fact to his commanding officer.
