7A. Prescribed fine for committing disciplinary offence

For the purpose of section 40(4)(a) of the Act, the prescribed amount is —

for a police officer who has attained or will, within 2 years after the order to pay the fine, attain the maximum of the police officer’s current salary scale or salary range, an amount equal to the last annual increment provided in the police officer’s salary scale or salary range; and

for any other police officer, an amount equal to the total annual increments the police officer would receive in a period of 2 years after the order to pay the fine.
