33. Amendment of section 15

In the EVCA, in section 15 —

in subsection (3), replace “A person” with “Subject to subsection (3A), a person”;

after subsection (3), insert —“(3A) Subsection (3) does not apply to a display of a non‑approved EV charger where —

either or both of the following apply:

the non‑approved EV charger is not displayed for the purpose of supplying it in Singapore to any person (whether in or outside Singapore);

the non‑approved EV charger is displayed for the sole purpose of supplying it for destruction or export; and

the prescribed conditions are satisfied.

Without limiting subsection (3A)(b), a prescribed condition mentioned in that provision may restrict the period during which the non‑approved EV charger is displayed.

A person who displays or causes to be displayed any non‑approved EV charger under subsection (3A) must also comply with the prescribed requirements (if any) relating to the display.

Without limiting subsection (3C), a prescribed requirement mentioned in that subsection may require that the person ensures that —

the non‑approved EV charger is in a prescribed condition when it is displayed; and

the prescribed information relating to the non‑approved EV charger is provided to, or brought to the attention of, the persons to whom the non‑approved EV charger is displayed, in a prescribed manner.”; and

in subsection (4), replace “or (3)” with “, (3) or (3C)”.
