76. Amendment of section 32

In the RTA, in section 32 (as inserted by section 59 of the Land Transport and Related Matters Act 2026) —

in the section heading, replace “road‑use charge” with “road tax or other charges”;

in subsection (1)(a) and (b), replace “road‑use charge under Part 1A” with “road tax or specified charge”;

in subsection (2), replace “road‑use charge” wherever it appears with “road tax or specified charge”; and

after subsection (2), insert —“(3) In this section —“road tax” means any tax charged in respect of a vehicle used or kept on any road in Singapore under section 11(1)(b);“specified charge” means —

any fees prescribed for the issue of a warrant under section 30;

any fee or cost payable for the recovery of any tax payable that is prescribed under section 34(1)(o)(i);

any road‑use charge under Part 1A;

any charges incurred in removing, seizing, detaining, storing or disposing of a vehicle under section 95; or

any charges incurred in carrying out the provisions of section 95A.”.
