87. Consequential and related amendments to Motor Vehicles (Third‑Party Risks and Compensation) Act 1960

In the Motor Vehicles (Third‑Party Risks and Compensation) Act 1960, in section 3A(1) —

after “Singapore”, insert “at any material time”;

in paragraph (a), replace “the material” with “that”;

replace paragraph (b) with —“(b)for a vehicle that is a de-registered vehicle (within the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1961) at that time —

if no notice in relation to the vehicle has been given under section 31E(1)(a), 31F(1)(a) or 31G(1)(a) of that Act — that the person is last recorded as the owner of that vehicle in a register of vehicles; or

if a notice in relation to the vehicle has been given under section 31E(1)(a), 31F(1)(a) or 31G(1)(a) of that Act — that the person is last recorded as having possession of that vehicle based on the latest notice received by the Registrar under those provisions; or”; and

in paragraph (c), after “the Road Traffic Act 1961”, insert “at that time”.
