Conditions of vessel permit
Subregulation 1
Every holder of a vessel permit shall ensure that the following requirements are complied with at all times that a vessel under the permit is in a reservoir or waterway:
the vessel does not cause oil or other pollutants to be discharged into the reservoir or waterway; and
the hull of the vessel is not painted with paint containing tributyltin, cuprous oxide or other biocides.
Subregulation 2
Where a vessel permit is granted for one or more watercraft, the holder of the vessel permit shall, in addition, ensure that the following requirements are complied with in respect of each watercraft under the permit:
there is in force such insurance as is referred to in regulation 16(b)(ii) at all times that the watercraft is in a reservoir or waterway;
there is provided on board the watercraft adequate life-saving equipment and fire-fighting equipment;
the watercraft is driven only by a person qualified to do so under regulation 18; and
the person driving the watercraft complies with the navigation rules in Part IV.
