Clause 45

in section 2, after the definition of “president”, insert —“ “public authority” means a body established or constituted by or under a public Act to perform or discharge a public function, but does not include a Town Council established under section 4 of the Town Councils Act 1988;”;

in section 4(e), insert “and” at the end;

in section 4, delete paragraph (f);

in section 44(4), after “public officer”, insert “or officer of a public authority”; and

in section 70(1), replace “the Board” with “a public authority”.
