Clause 53

in section 36(1), after “public officers”, insert “or officers of a public authority”;

in section 36, after subsection (5), insert —“(6) In this section, “public authority” means a body established or constituted by or under a public Act to perform or discharge a public function, but does not include a Town Council established under section 4 of the Town Councils Act 1988.”; and

in section 43, replace “or any member or employee of the Board, committee or Complaints Committee” with “any member or employee of the Board, committee or Complaints Committee, or any inspector appointed under section 36(1)”.
