Clause 50
In the Medical Registration Act 1997 —
(a)
in section 5(fa), insert “and” at the end;
(b)
in section 5, delete paragraph (fb);
(c)
in section 40(2)(b), after “public officer”, insert “, an officer of a public authority”; and
(d)
in section 40, after subsection (9), insert —“(10) In this section, “public authority” means a body established or constituted by or under a public Act to perform or discharge a public function, but does not include a Town Council established under section 4 of the Town Councils Act 1988.”.
