Amendment of Geneva Conventions Act 1973
of Health Sciences Authority (Amendment) and Other Matters Bill
In the Geneva Conventions Act 1973 —
in section 10A(1), after “public officers”, insert “or officers of a public authority”;
in section 10A, after subsection (4), insert —“(5) In this section, “public authority” means a body established or constituted by or under a public Act to perform or discharge a public function, but does not include a Town Council established under section 4 of the Town Councils Act 1988.”; and
after section 10A, insert —“Protection from personal liability10B. No liability shall lie personally against any inspector acting under the direction of the Minister who, acting in good faith and with reasonable care, does or omits to do anything in the execution or purported execution of this Act.”.
